The beautiful thing about art is that it is constantly surrounding us. From wall murals to the designs on coffee cups, and even dancing; art is a piece of just about everything we do throughout our day.
It’s a truly wonderful thing to allow inspiration into your life. The first thing you have to do is be open to it. What kinds of art resonate with you? Murals have the ability to transport you to other places and times. Coffee cups can make you smile with witty pictures. Dancing is energizing. I encourage you to take notice of the creative places in your life and explore them!
As an artist, I chose to develop my artistic prowess in painting. Here are some ideas to help you develop your artistic inspirations:
Denver Art Museum Classes
The Denver Art Museum is an amazing resource that we have at our fingertips. They offer adult art classes all the time for novice or advanced artists. They even have conversation lounges where experts lead discussions on artistic jewelry related themes. On the second Tuesday of every month they hold drop-in drawing classes for all levels. Take a class and see where it leads you!
Canvas and Cocktails
Even if you’re just looking for a fun time with friends, Canvas and Cocktails is a great way to blend your social life with your desire to be creative. Instructors guide you through your choice of paintings and at the end of the night you get to go home with your creation! It’s a great way to have a therapeutic and relaxing girl’s night!
For those who are interested in exploring dance as a form of art, Denver Dance offers tons of great classes from hip hop cardio to ballet classes, they really have it all! It’s a great opportunity for you to move from your comfort zone and become inspired!
